
Local Wilderness Forward Watkins Commits DI to Union College

CLOQUET, MN - The Minnesota Wilderness is proud to announce veteran forward Tyler Watkins has committed to play Division I hockey at Union College in the 2020-2021 NCAA season. Watkins, a local Hermantown High School Alumni, has tallied 42 points for the Wilderness in the 2019-2020 season so far and has been with the Wilderness program for over two years.
Head Coach Jon Vaillancourt commented on Watkins' commitment "Tyler has grown tremendously as a player and a leader and I feel that you can see that in his performance. Union is getting not only a great player but a fantastic leader and we are excited to watch his continued success at the next level. "
Watkins will continue playing with the Wilderness for the remainder of 2019-2020 season.
