Hammons Industries for "Homeward Bound," a food drive and educational event at Hammons Field on Friday, November 18, from 11am to 2pm. The event will include musical entertainment and booths from 20 local agencies with information that aid our hungry and homeless. Mayor Pro Tem, Ralph Manley, will be giving a mayoral proclamation as part of a program beginning at 12:15 p.m. Louie the mascot from the Springfield Cardinals will also be on hand throughout the day. In addition, there will be free hotdogs, chips, and Coke available in the main gate area.

The Springfield Cardinals, Community Partnership and John Q. Hammons Industries invite all to attend this one-day event and take advantage of the opportunity to donate food items as well as find out specific ways you can help others in need.

Non-perishable food items can be donated in the Hammons Field main gate area, or in the parking lot between St. Louis and Trafficway. All food collected will benefit the following local food pantries: Crosslines, Family Violence Center, The Kitchen, Salvation Army, and Victory Mission.
