Cardinale Stadium to Host 2023 CCAA Women's Soccer Tournament

SEASIDE, Calif. - Cardinale Stadium is set to host the 2023 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Soccer Championship in Seaside, the first time California State University, Monterey Bay has hosted the tournament since it began in 1999. The tournament semifinals will kick off at Cardinale Stadium on Friday, November 10 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively, with the winners to play in the Championship game slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 12.

A Proud Partner of Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.), locally-renowned Ivan's Baked Potatoes will be available for purchase in the Cardinale Stadium plaza during the semifinal double-header on Friday only. In addition, Monterey Bay F.C. will open its Team Shop in the plaza to make the professional club's merchandise available for purchase to those in attendance on Friday. An exclusive ticket promotion will also be in effect in the lead-up to Friday's double-header: any $30 purchase of MBFC merchandise at the stadium team shop will include same-day admission to both semifinal matches. Parking at the tournament will require a daily permit. Save time at the game by purchasing your permit in advance here.

The six-team, single-elimination tournament kicks off on Sunday, November 5 with the 3 seed hosting the 6 seed and the 4 seed hosting the 5 seed at their respective home fields while the top two seeds rest on a bye. The winners of those matches will then move on to play the awaiting 1 and 2 seeds in the semifinal round in Seaside. The current defending champions California State University, Los Angeles won the tournament in 2022 by defeating Sonoma State 1-0 in the championship match at Rohnert Park.
