
Captains Rained Out For 2nd Straight Day

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains game against the Kannapolis Intimidators scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday. There is also a doubleheader scheduled for Sunday. The two doubleheaders will consist of two seven inning games. Fans with tickets for Saturday's game can exchange them for any other regular season game, subject to availability. Tickets must be exchanged in person at the Ticket Office prior to entering the gates for another game. For Captains ticket information please call 440-954-WINS.
The Captains host the Kannapolis Intimidators on Sunday with a doubleheader that is scheduled for 1:05 PM. The Captains send LHP Kelvin De La Cruz to the mound (1-1, 2.25) in game one against the Intimidators Charlie Shirek (1-2, 1.61). In game two, LHP Ryan Morris gets the nod (4-0, 1.67) against the Intimidators RHP Johnnie Lowe (1-3, 5.01). Sunday is a Plevin and Gallucci Family Fun Day which features a pre game autograph session with Captains players and after game two there will be Kids Run the Bases presented by Andrews Osborne Academy. The doubleheader on Tuesday will begin at 5:05 PM. The News-Herald High School Home Run Derby will continue after the game on Tuesday. The contest goes on after every Tuesday home Captains game with the finals following the game on July 8th.
