Captains New Manager to Attend Hot Stove Dinner

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains will host their 5th annual Hot Stove Dinner on Monday January 22nd from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. The Captains new manager, Chris Tremie, will attend the event. Tremie, 37, takes over as the Manager at Lake County after making his managerial debut last year with the Gulf Coast League Indians. Tremie led the Indians to a record of 21-29 in their inaugural season.

In addition to meeting the manager, fans will have the opportunity to meet former Captains players who are in town for the Cleveland Indians winter development program. The winter development program brings the Indians top prospects to Cleveland for off season training. The players will sign autographs and be a part of question and answer session.

A silent auction of various Captains memorabilia items will also be held during the evening, with 100% of the auction proceeds benefiting Captains Charities, an official 501 (c) 3 organization that serves as the charitable arm of the baseball club.

The Captains also plan to unveil their new 2007 authentic uniforms, including new home, road, and batting practice jerseys and caps.

Fans will enter the event through the Captains clubhouse and have a chance to bid on memorabilia during a silent auction. Dinner includes traditional ballpark food and soft drinks, coffee, and tea. A limited selection of alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at a cash bar.

Pre registration tickets are $15. Tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the event for $20. This dinner is limited to the first 200 reservations. Call 440-954-WINS for ticket information. Reservations must be received by January 17, 2007, to be considered pre registered.

The Lake County Captains are the Class A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and play their home games at Classic Park in Eastlake at the corners of State Route 91 and Vine Street. The Captains will play their home opener on Friday, April 13th at 7:05 p.m. against the Lexington Legends.
