Lake County Captains News Release

Eastlake, OH - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin a six-game home stand on Saturday, May 25, as the West Michigan White Caps (Tigers) and Bowling Green Hot Rods (Rays) visit Classic Park.

Saturday is a 6:30 PM start time and the game will be followed by a Saturday Night Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by Monreal Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Sunday is a 1:30 PM start and is a Family Fun Sunday, presented by the Lake County YMCA, featuring a pre-game player autograph session, concourse entertainment and activities, the Kids' Zone area and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. All kids in attendance will receive a Captains activities book and crayons, presented by the YMCA and Lake County Job and Family Services.

Monday is Memorial Day and the Captains will have a special Buck Day, presented by PNC, featuring $1 Five Star Brand Hot Dogs, Dan Dee chips, French fries, popcorn, soda and beer. Also, fans receive a $1 discount on their tickets or $2 off their tickets if they use a PNC Bank debit or credit card. Game time is 1 PM.

On Tuesday, the Captains will donate 100% of ticket proceeds to The Cleveland Courage Fund of the Cleveland Foundation for tickets purchased for that evening's game when fans use the promo code COURAGE at the time of purchase. The Fund, so named because of the courage shown by three women who were held captive in a Cleveland home for a decade, will directly benefit Gina DeJesus, Michelle Knight, and Amanda Berry and her daughter. Game time is 6:30 PM.

Also on Tuesday, the Captains will welcome Cleveland Browns Defensive Lineman John Hughes to Classic Park as part of Dawg Night Tuesdays. Throughout the season Dawg Nights feature appearances by former and current Cleveland Browns players. Hughes was a third round selection in the 2012 NFL draft out of the University of Cincinnati. He appeared in all 16 games during the 2012 season and had 34 tackles and three sacks. He will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and be available for autographs before and during the Captains game that night.

Bark in the Park Night is also on Tuesday as dog owners are encouraged to bring their dogs to Classic Park when they purchase a $5 pooch pass. A portion of the proceeds from the pooch passes will benefit Lake Humane Society & Adoption Center. Dog owners may purchase their tickets for a special $7 price. Bark in the Park will take place on every remaining Tuesday home game this season.

In addition, the first 500 kids 12 and under in attendance at Tuesday's game will receive a full-size Webkinz plush dog. This is the fourth in a series of six different Webkinz dogs that will be given away at Tuesday games throughout the 2013 season.

Wednesday is a special 1 PM start and is Senior Day presented by Wickliffe County Place. Seniors will receive free coffee throughout the game and can participate in Baseball Bingo.

The home stand concludes on Thursday with a special 11 AM start as the Captains will host several local schools who are participating in the Captains Reading Program.

Individual game tickets for these, and all Captains games, may be purchased at the Captains official website www.CaptainsBaseball.com
