
Caps Begin Three Game Stretch in Three Days Tonight

The Madison Capitols (13-8-2) begin a three day stretch of games tonight when the Green Bay Gamblers (9-11-0-1) return to Capitol Ice. Following tonight's game, the Caps meet the Dubuque Fighting Saints in a weekend home-and-home series.
In the race for the Cheese Cup, the Capitols have a 3-2 lead over the Gamblers. They meet tonight for the third consecutive game and sixth time this season. Madison and Green Bay split last weekend's home-and-home series with the home team winning both nights.
The Capitols are 3rd best in the USHL at home with with an 8-3 record. When skating at Capitol Ice, they have a +16 goal differential. Overall, the Caps +18 goal differential is 4th best across the league.
Madison's 4th ranked power play is clicking at a healthy 24.0 percent this season. The Caps will look to exploit the Gamblers penalty kill which is operating at 78.3 percent.
The Capitols and Fighting Saints will meet for the first time this season this weekend. The two Eastern Conference squads have been battling for position in the East all season long. The Fighting Saints are sitting at 2nd in the East with 32 points and the Caps are right on their heels in 3rd place with 28 points.
Puck is slated for 7:05 p.m. for all three games.
