Madison Capitols News Release
Middleton, WI - The Madison Capitols couldn't get anything going offensively in a 5-0 shutout by the Tri-City Storm on Sunday afternoon at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena.
The Storm got off to an opening lead for the second straight night as a great passing display gave Mitchell Miller his 7th tally of the season assisted by Nick Portz.
Tri-City increased their lead as Nick Capone sent two more to the back of the net for his 6th and 7th goals of the season to take a 3-0 lead into the third period.
Joey Cippalone and Portz netted one more each into the final period to put the game out of reach.
Christian Stoever made 46 saves in the loss without any help on the offensive side of the ice.
Madison returns to action on Friday, February 21st for another round of the Odyssey Brands Wisconsin Cheese Cup against the Green Bay Gamblers. Don't forget it's also a $1 beer night set to begin at 7:05pm.
If you can't make it out to the game, make sure to tune into Mixlr and HockeyTV to get the live call from broadcaster, Cody Lefkowitz.
