
Capitols Pick up Second Shutout of Season, Defeat U17s 4-0

The Capitols hit the road on Thursday to kick start a three-game weekend against the NTDP U17s. The game became the team's second straight four-goal win, both against the NTDP U17s as Madison moves within two points of Youngstown in the standings.
Scoring for Madison in the contest were Rainers Rullers(10), Andrew Kuzma(25, 26), and Jack Brandt. Madison went 2/5 on the man advantage in the game striking on two first period power play goals.
Madison picks up the team's second shut out of the season with a combined effort between Carsen Musser and Patriks Berzins. Musser left the game late in the second due to injury.
With his second goal of the night, Andrew Kuzma moved into second place on the Capitols Tier 1 single-season goal chart. He sits only behind Austin Burnevik's 37-goal marker this season in Capitols Tier 1 franchise history.
Madison moves within two points of Youngstown for fourth place in the standings. The Caps face the Phantoms for a two-game series starting Friday in Youngstown. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:05 pm CT.
