Capitols Complete Trade with Green Bay for Draft Pick

The Madison Capitols today have announced the trade of Blake Bechen to the Green Bay Gamblers in exchange for Green Bay's sixth-round pick in the 2024 USHL Phase I Draft and future considerations.

Bechen was acquired earlier this summer as part of a trade that brought Madison forward Jake Rozzi from Youngstown. In one season with the Phantoms, Beeches appeared in 36 games recording four goals and eight assists totaling to twelve total points on the season.

With the addition of the pick, Madison now has eleven selections in the 2024 USHL Phase I Draft, including seven in the first six rounds of the draft. The team own's it's own 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, and 10th round selections while acquiring Omaha's 3rd(via Youngstown), Waterloo's 5th, and now Green Bay's 6th this summer.
