Capital City Acquires First-Round Draft Pick and Returning Rights to CJ Fair in Trade with Windy City

WASHINGTON, DC - The Capital City Go-Go, the Washington Wizards' NBA G League affiliate, acquired the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA G League Draft from the Windy City Bulls (from Sioux Falls via South Bay) and the returning rights to CJ Fair in exchange for the returning rights to Darel Poirier.

With the acquisition of the seventh overall pick, Capital City now owns six draft picks in the 2019 NBA G League Draft: first round seven, second round 42, second round 55 (via Long Island), third round 70, third round 74 (via Windy City) and third round 83.

Fair, a 6-8 forward from Syracuse played in 46 games (42 starts) with Windy City last season, averaging 12.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. The Baltimore, Md. native has appeared in 193 NBA G League games dating back to 2014, while also appearing in overseas leagues in France and Saudi Arabia. Fair played collegiately at Syracuse, where he appeared in 143 career games for the Orange, and was twice named to All-Conference teams (All-Big East second team in 2013 and All-ACC first team in 2014).

Darel Poirier was acquired via a draft-day trade with the Canton Charge during the 2018 NBA G League Draft after being selected seventh overall. The Frenchman averaged 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 40 games (32 starts) with the Go-Go last season.
