Canzone Hits Two Homers But Aces Fall Short in 9-5 Loss to Express

Reno, NV - Dominic Canzone hit his eighth and ninth home runs in a 9-5 Reno Aces (17-14) loss to the Round Rock Express (20-11) Saturday evening at Greater Nevada Field.

Round Rock starter Robert Dugger faced the minimum through four innings, holding Reno to only two walks while tallying five strikeouts. Canzone broke up the streak with a no-doubt home run to the berm in the fifth.

The Aces surrendered five runs after the second out in the sixth as Round Rock expanded its hefty lead. Jorge Barrosa hit his third long ball of the year in the bottom half of the inning, pulling the Aces within seven.

Canzone continued his destruction with a three-run homer in the ninth, a 458-foot blast to right. Canzone's nine home runs lead the team.

Reno and Round Rock will complete the six-game series Sunday with first pitch at 1:05 p.m. PT.
