Canucks Recall Jaffray & Re-Assign Bolduc to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have recalled forward Jason Jaffray. As a result, they have re-assigned forward Alexandre Bolduc to the Moose.

Bolduc, 23, played in two games with Vancouver after being recalled on Nov. 25/08. The Montreal, PQ native has also appeared in 12 games so far this season with the Moose. In that span, he has collected eight points (2-6-8), including a shorthanded goal (Nov. 21/08 vs. San Antonio) and a game-winning goal (Nov. 14/08 vs. Toronto). Bolduc has played in 143 games with the Moose where he's scored 64 points (27-37-64) and 183 penalty minutes. He was named the winner of the team's Unsung Hero Award in 2007-08. He was initially drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round, 127th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Jaffray, 27, has played in 17 games so far this season with the Moose where he leads the team in goals with 12 and is second on the team in total points with 17. He is currently sixth in the entire AHL in goal-scoring and leads the team with five powerplay goals and also has three game-winning goals. His nine-game point streak earlier this season included a natural hat-trick on Nov. 15 vs. Toronto. The Olds, AB native has played in 224 games as a Moose in his seven-year pro career. In that time, he has 201 points (84-117-201). He also played in 19 games with the Canucks last season where he scored six points (2-4-6).
