The Canton Charge bested the Maine Red Claws for the second time in three days after a 108-83 win at the Portland Exposition Building on Sunday afternoon. The victory boosted Canton's East Division best record to 24-15, while Maine dropped to 21-20.
Maine pulled ahead to a 21-17 lead after a strong defensive first quarter in which they forced eight Canton turnovers for eight points and held the visitors to 5-of-14 shooting for 29%. The Charge gathered some rhythm in the second quarter and hit 53% of their shots from the field, but had nine more turnovers for nine points to allow the Red Claws to hold on to a 39-38 lead at the intermission.
The game's turning point came when Canton protected the ball in the third by only surrendering two turnovers, all while hitting 56% of shots to score a season-high 38 points. With the 76-65 lead, the Charge continued to put their foot on the gas pedal with an efficient offensive output and lead by as many as 25 in the fourth quarter. After 38 first half points on 40% shooting, Canton netted a season-high 70 points on 57% in the second to run away with the game.
Seven Charge players scored in double figures, led by Antoine Agudio's season-high 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting with three rebounds, three assists and three steals in 42 minutes. Kyle Gibson poured in his 10th 20+ point game this season, finishing with 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting and 4-of-5 from three-point range. Arinze Onuaku had his second double-double in as many games and his team-best 13th of the season after he scored 12 points with 13 rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes.

Curtis Jerrells added 14 points and nabbed five steals 35 minutes. Maine's 25 rebounds were a new opponent season-low for the Charge. Canton now holds a 3-2 edge in the season series between the two teams, with their final meeting coming March 20th at Canton.
