Canaries to kickoff season with downtown event

SIOUX FALLS, SD - Summer is just around the corner and Downtown Sioux Falls and Wells Blue Bunny are teaming up with the Sioux Falls Canaries to co-host a FREE community picnic to celebrate the Canaries 2008 Championship win and to kick-off the 2009 baseball season! We invite you, your friends and family to join us at Fawick Park located on 2nd Avenue between 10th & 11th Street in downtown Sioux Falls on Monday, May 11, 2009. The picnic will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. Enjoy musical entertainment by the Cartwright Brothers, games and a FREE lunch (grilled hot dogs, a bag of chips and a pop)! That's right - this year the meal is FREE, compliments of the Sioux Falls Canaries.

3rd Ave just south of Fawick Park will be closed to accommodate the grills and the stage, and the park will provide plenty of picnic seating and room for games and corporate challenges. Come down anytime between 11:00am - 1:00pm to partake in the festivities!
