Sioux Falls Canaries News Release
SIOUX FALLS, SD (March 19, 2007) - The Sioux Falls Canaries will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt presented by ShopKo at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 31 at Sioux Falls Stadium. The Easter Egg Hunt will be the first event of the year at the Birdcage.
"It is great to be able to open the gates for the first time in 2007 with a free event for everyone in our community," said Canaries President John Kuhn. "Over the past few years we have seen a consistently great turnout despite a wide range of weather. Hopefully, we have some bright sun and warm temperatures for this year's event."
The Easter Egg Hunt is open to kids 12 & under. There will be two separate hunts, one for children 5 & under, and another for kids 6 to 12 years old. The plastic eggs and candy for the event were donated by ShopKo.
Cagey, the Canaries mascot, is receiving a makeover for the 2007 season, and is unable to attend the event. However, the Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance at the Birdcage during the Easter Egg Hunt.
