
Canadiens Assign Ryan White and Aaron Palushaj to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that right winger Ryan White has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs for conditioning purposes. The Canadiens also returned right winger Aaron Palushaj to Hamilton. White and Palushaj will join the Bulldogs today in Hamilton.
White, 23, has yet to play a game with the Canadiens this season due to a sports hernia suffered during Montreal's training camp last September.
The 6-foot, 188-pound forward entered his third NHL season in 2011-12. In 43 career regular season games, White has registered seven points (2 goals, 5 assists), 117 hits and 54 penalty minutes. The native of Brandon, Manitoba played 33 games for the Hamilton Bulldogs in the 2010-2011 season, recording 12 points (3 goals, 9 assists) in the regular season, and eight points (2 goals, 6 assists) in 13 post-season games.
In 17 games with the Canadiens this season, Palushaj notched one assist, his first career NHL point, on Sunday, February 5th, 2012 against the Winnipeg Jets. The 5-foot-11, 188-pound forward recorded 12 shots on goal, four blocked shots and 13 hits, while averaging 7:02 of ice time per game.
Recalled from the Bulldogs on Friday, February 3rd, 2012, the 22-year old forward leads the 'Dogs in scoring with 28 points (13 goals and 15 assists) in 29 games this season. The Livonia, Michigan native ranks second on the team in goals and is tied for second in power play goals (5). Palushaj added 96 shots on goal and displays a +2 plus/minus differential.
The Bulldogs host the San Antonio Rampage TOMORROW, Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 at 10 a.m. in a school day game at Copps Coliseum.
