Canadians Wrap Up Eight-Game Road Trip In Style

(Avista Stadium - Spokane, WA) - Canadians LHP Bobby Brosnahan found his stride while the offense pounded out 14 hits on Thursday night to help Vancouver to a 5-2 victory out at Avista Stadium in Spokane, WA.

Brosnahan, who would pick up his first win of the season, went five innings, striking out seven Spokane hitters on the night to help the Canadians finish an eight-game road trip with a record of 5-3 (.625). Four Vancouver pitchers combined to limit the Indians to just a pair of runs over the final four innings with RHP Chuck Ghysels picking up his 2nd save of the season.

Offensively, the Canadians were led by a number of hitters including C Mike Reeves (Peterborough, ON) who went 3-for-4 with a runs scored while 2B Andy Fermin went 3-for-5 to bump his average of the season to .244 and now has a four-game hitting streak heading back to Vancouver.

3B L.B. Dantzler grabbed his first professional hit with a hard hit single in the top of the 3rd inning and finished with a pair of hits in the victory.

With the victory, Vancouver improves to 8-6 (.571) on the season while the Indians drop to 6-8 (.429) through the first two weeks of the Northwest League season.
