Canadian Hockey League's 3rd-Ranked Majors Visit Bunker on Thanksgiving Monday Afternoon
October 6, 2011 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
North Bay Battalion News Release
The Battalion visits the Guelph Storm on Friday at 7:30, and returns home on Thanksgiving Monday at 2:00 to host the undefeated Mississauga St. Michael's Majors, who have the best record in the OHL with five wins in as many starts and are third in the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 rankings.
The Battalion acquired overage left winger Brett Mackie from the Belleville Bulls Tuesday and he's scheduled to make his Battalion debut Friday at Guelph. Mackie's acquisition was required after overage forward Ian Watters suffered three severed tendons in his right wrist during last Friday's 4-3 shootout win at Sarnia. Watters, who entered the game as the Troops' leading goalscorer, needed surgery and is expected to be out of action for approximately three months.
Tickets for Monday's game at the Powerade Centre can be purchased online at battalionhockey.com, at Battalion Headquarters from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at the Box Office after 12 noon on gameday. For further information contact Megan McClelland at (905) 874-2393.
