In a battle for Can-Am League supremacy, nine innings wasn't enough to decide who would sit atop the standings. After nine innings, The Grays and Capitales were locked in a 7-7 tie. After a scoreless 10th, the Grays used a 1B Cabrera sacrifice fly and a two-run 3B Ben Tinius homer to take a three-run lead over Quebec in the top of the 11th. The Capitales first two batters got on base in the bottom of the 11th, but Grays reliever Jerry Dunn proceeded to strike out two Capitales and force LF Trainor to fly out to left field to end the game. Grays C Tucker had a solid night at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBI. For the Capitales, 1B Lantigua went 3-for-6 with three-run homer in the eighth.

Nashua 3, Atlantic City 1

The Pride bullpen came through for starting pitcher Lance Stevens Thursday to complete the sweep of Atlantic City. Stevens exited the game after five innings and a two-run lead. The combination of relievers Tom Thornton, Steve Palazzolo, Jim Mann and Rich Garces then proceeded to pitch the final four innings, allowing no runs on only one hit while striking out three. On the offensive side of the plate, Nashua 3B Austin Wasserman went 2-for-4 with an RBI. For Atlantic City, SS Denver Kitch went 2-for-3 on the night.

New Jersey 3, North Shore 1

Starting New Jersey pitcher Demetrius Banks picked up his second win of the season against North Shore. Banks pitched seven innings and allowed one run on eight hits while striking out four Spirit batters. The Jackals got two runs from 3B Wilton Veras, who went 3-for-4 on the night. Every North Shore batter picked up a hit, but only CF BJ Weed scored. Weed crossed home plate on a LF Darren Blakely sacrifice fly in the first inning to give North Shore an early 1-0 lead. But New Jersey had one-run innings in the second, fourth and seventh to take the victory.

Worcester 8, Brockton 6

The top third of the Tornadoes lineup came through in a major way in Worcester's win over Brockton. 3B Euvi Solano, SS Dominic Ramos and 1B Chris Colabello combined to bat 7-for-12 with six runs scored and three RBI. CF Keith Beauregard also had a good night for the Tornadoes, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. For the Rox, 1B Francisco Lebron led the way with a 2-for-5 night with a homer and three RBI. Starting Worcester pitcher Alex Pena picked up his first win of the season with 5.1 innings pitched in which he allowed four runs on nine hits with three strikeouts.

Sussex 13, New Haven County 3

The Skyhawks combined an impressive outing from starting pitcher Vince Davis with an offensive explosion to take care of New Haven County and earn their second win of the season. Sussex scored 13 runs, but did most of their damage without going deep. The lone homerun of the game came as a two-run shot off the bat of Sussex's Scott Grimes. Davis pitched 6.1 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with four strikeouts. The game was the first loss of the season for New Haven County starter Joslin Ramierz, who is now 2-1 on the season.
