The New Jersey Jackals got superb pitching en route to a 2-0 shutout victory at home. Jackals starting pitcher AJ Wideman led the way, allowing just three hits while striking out one in seven scoreless innings to pick up the win and improve to 2-0 on the season. Reliever Seth Overbey tossed a scoreless eighth before giving way to closer Rusty Tucker. Tucker fanned two in the ninth on the way to his sixth save. New Jersey C Matt Lauderdale led the way offensively. He was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a RBI.

New Hampshire 11, Sussex 7

Trailing 5-0 entering the sixth inning, the American Defenders of New Hampshire got hot and rallied to cut the lead to 5-3 after six. An inning later, New Hampshire rallied for four more runs to go up 7-5 and never looked back en route to its ninth win of the season. American Defenders 2B Boomer Berry was 4-for-5 at the plate with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBI. New Hampshire RF Angel Molina also had a great game, going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and four RBI. American Defenders reliever Luis Ramos picked up his second win thanks to 2 1/3 perfect innings.

Quebec 4, Brockton 3 (10 innings)

HR: None

Quebec entered the ninth inning trailing 3-1, but rallied to tie the game and send it to extra innings thanks to a RBI triple off the bat of SS Douglas Toro. In the 10th an error allowed Capitales C Patrick D'Aoust to score the go-ahead run, thus giving Quebec the 4-3 win. The Capitales tallied 13 hits as a team, led by CF Goefrey Tomlinson who was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a RBI. Quebec reliever Jason Schutt picked up his first win thanks to two scoreless innings in which he allowed one hit and struck out one.
