The Sussex Skyhawks grabbed an early 1-0 lead but the American Defenders stormed back with four runs in the fourth inning and three more in the fifth to take a 7-1 lead and would cruise from there to an 8-1 win. 3B Chris Kelly led the New Hampshire offense going 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI. American Defenders CF Edward Ovalle chipped in with a 2-for-5 game including a fifth inning three-run home run. New Hampshire starting pitcher Nick Asselin won his ninth game of the season. Asselin went seven innings allowing one earned run on eight hits with eight strikeouts. DH Jorge Moreno and RF Maikel Jova each had two hits for the Skyhawks.

A solid pitching performance from starter Freddy Flores and a good night at the plate from LF Melvin Falu leads the Brockton Rox to a big win over the Quebec Capitales. Flores went 6 1/3 innings allowing one earned run on seven hits with a walk and two strikeouts. With the victory, Flores is now 5-3 on the season. Falu went 2-for-3 with a home run, his sixth of the year, and two runs batted in. CF Chris Valencia added two hits and a RBI as well to the Brockton offensive attack.

New Jersey 8, Worcester 5

A big night at the plate from the 3-4-5 hitters of the New Jersey batting order helps the Jackals rally from a 5-1 deficit and beat the Worcester Tornadoes. LF Timo Perez, RF Myron Leslie and 1B Jerod Edmondson went a combined 10-for-12 at the plate with five runs scored and five RBI. Leslie hit his 12th and 13th home runs of the season in the process. New Jersey reliever Seth Overbey evened up his record up at 4-4 on the year by allowing only one hit in two innings of work. Jackals closer Rusty Tucker tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up his league leading 21st save of the season.
