It was all Atlantic City in this game as the Surf built an early 3-0 lead and added five more in the sixth inning to win it going away. Rory Shortell threw a complete game for the Surf and allowed the Skyhawks' only run on a solo homer by catcher Cliff Panezich. Shortell struck out seven batters and improved his record to 9-3 with the win. Atlantic City catcher William Plaza had a big game with four hits in five trips to the plate. LF Joe Burke had three hits for the Surf and 3B Gil Zayas had three RBI.

New Jersey 4, Brockton 3

C Matt Lauderdale's sacrifice fly to center field in the bottom of the ninth inning scored SS Bryant Nelson from third base to give New Jersey a 4-3 win over Brockton. Jackals RF Billy Kovatch paced the New Jersey offense with three hits and two RBI. Brockton RF Dennis Abreu led the Rox attack with a 2-for-4 night and two RBI. New Jersey starter Mike Vicaro pitched seven strong innings and was in line for the win when he left the game with a 3-1 lead. But his bullpen allowed two runs in the eighth inning which tied the game. Closer Rusty Tucker picked up the win when the Jackals scored in the ninth and his record now stands at 3-2.

Nashua 5, Quebec 1

Starting pitcher Matt O'Brien turned in a solid eight inning performance for Nashua to lead the Pride over Quebec 5-1. O'Brien struck out four and allowed no earned runs on just five hits. He moved to 2-1 with the victory. Nashua 1B Bryan Duplissie drove in two runs with a single in the fourth inning and added an RBI sacrifice fly in the sixth to lead the Pride's offense. LF Jerod Edmondson finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Luis Valdez pitched 6 2/3 innings for Quebec and allowed five runs on seven hits to fall to 9-4.

Ottawa DH Jabe Bergeron went 2-for-5 and drove in the winning run with a ninth inning double to give the Rapidz a 4-3 win at Worcester. CF Jared Lemieux led off the inning with a walk and 2B Jose De los Santos put down a sacrifice bunt to move him into scoring position for Bergeron. LF Jereme Milons and 3B Nate Hall each had two hits in the contest and Ottawa reliever Matthew Tosoni pitched 2 2/3 innings for his first win with the club. Worcester's Eddie Pena took the loss which evened his mark at 5-5. Rapidz C Kyle Geiger hit his eighth homer of the year in the sixth inning.
