Atlantic City 4, Brockton 0

Despite two rain delays and a fog delay, Atlantic City's pitching staff did a stellar job of shutting down Brockton's offense as the Surf blanked the Rox 4-0. Derek Barrows, Derek Duclos and Walker Whitley combined to allow just five hits and one walk in the contest. Barrows took home the victory and improved to 2-1 on the year. Surf SS Anthony Granato led the Atlantic City offense with a 3-for-4 night that included two doubles and two RBI. 2B Brad Thoma had two hits and scored two runs and LF Joe Burke went 1-for-4 with an RBI and two walks.

Quebec 9, Sussex 2

Quebec used back to back home runs by 1B Pat Scalabrini and CF Goef Tomlinson to break open a close game and beat Sussex 9-2. Leading 4-2 in the seventh inning, the long balls put four more runs on the scoreboard to give the Capitales an 8-2 lead. Scalabrini finished 2-for-5 with four RBI and C Greg Stevens hit his sixth homer of the season in a 2-for-5 night. RF Mike Goss had three hits in the contest with two runs scored. Quebec starter Kevin Beavers picked up his fifth win of the season as he pitched seven solid innings, allowing just two earned runs on four hits while striking out five. Craig Snipp took the loss for Sussex and fell to 4-5.

New Jersey 4, Ottawa 2

Staked to an early 3-0 lead, New Jersey starter Isaac Pavlik allowed just two earned runs on five hits in 7 1/3 innings to lead the Jackals past Ottawa 4-2. New Jersey 3B Chris Kelly, C Matt Lauderdale, and RF Marcos Rodriguez each had two hits and an RBI in the game. 1B Juan Tejeda went 1-for-4 and opened the scoring with an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning. Ottawa starter Adam Hawes surrendered two earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on seven hits and dropped to 4-8 on the season. Rapidz CF Jared Lemieux went 2-for-3 in a losing effort.

Nashua 4, Worcester 0

Nashua starter Lance Stevens turned in an outstanding performance as he allowed just one hit and struck out six over eight innings to lead the Pride to a 4-0 shutout of Worcester. With the win Stevens improved to 6-4 on the year. Although only one run was earned, Worcester starter Matt Weagle gave up four runs on 10 hits and fell to 8-5. Nashua hitters collected four of the game's five extra base hits including a triple by CF Vinny Pennell who finished 2-for-4 on the night. Pride 3B Aregenis Tavarez also went 2-for-4 in the game.
