Sussex 1B Matthew Weston was a one-man wrecking crew, going 2-for-4, belting two home runs and driving in five to lead the Skyhawks to a narrow victory at home over the league's first-half champions. Skyhawks C Cliff Panezich also pitched in with a homer, and finished the game 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Sussex starting pitcher Michael Laluna notched his first win in relief. He did not allow a run in two innings of work.

Atlantic City 10, Ottawa 6

The Atlantic City Surf pounded out 19 hits as a team to win easily over Ottawa on the road. Surf RF Josh Burrus led all hitters in the contest, going 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI. Every starter in the Atlantic City lineup recorded at least one hit and seven different players recorded multi-hit games. Surf starting pitcher Rory Shortell pitched well en route to his second win of the season. He allowed one run on six hits and struck out six without issuing a walk in six innings of work.

New Jersey 8, Brockton 3

New Jersey starting pitcher Isaac Pavlik had efficient outing to pick up his fourth win of the season. Pavlik allowed three runs, two earned, while scattering nine hits and fanning three through six innings of work. He got plenty of help from 1B Juan Tejada and 3B Chris Kelly. The duo combined to go 4-for-7 at the plate, hitting a home run each and driving in three. New Jersey broke the game open in the fifth inning when they scored twice to break a 3-3 tie. An inning later they put the game away by plating three more runners and went on to win by that same margin.

Nashua got its offense started in a hurry, plating three runs in the first inning, but would have to claw back late to earn the win on the road. The Tornadoes cut that first-inning lead to 3-2 after the second and scored three times in the sixth to take a 5-3 lead. Then, Nashua evened the score in the eighth, only to watch Worcester pull a run ahead in the bottom of the frame. That set the stage for the Pride's two-run rally in the ninth that earned Nashua the victory. Nashua 1B Bryan Duplissie led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI. Pride RF Jeremy Pickrel was 2-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored.
