Behind an impressive offensive performance, the Ottawa Rapidz erased an early deficit to win easily at home. Ottawa starting pitcher Greg Bunn allowed a run in the first inning and another in the second, but settled down after that, as he did not allow any more damage. In all, he allowed the two runs, one earned, on six hits while striking out six in seven innings of work to earn his first win. Rapidz 3B Jose Salas hit his first home run and finished 1-for-2 with two RBI. Ottawa LF Jereme Milons led all hitters in the game. He was 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Worcester 15, Quebec 6

The home crowd got quite a show in this one as the league's top two teams belted a total of six home runs. But it was the Tornadoes that kept the runs coming en route to a convincing win over Quebec. The victory moves Worcester into a first place tie with the Capitales atop the Can-Am League. Worcester RF Scott Grimes continues to hit the cover off the ball. The league's leading hitter was 2-for-6 with his eighth home run (also tops in the league), two runs scored and three RBI. Tornadoes DH Francisco Caraballo and C Alex Trezza also homered. The pair combined to go 6-for-11 with the two home runs, four runs scored and eight RBI.

Sussex 5, Atlantic City 4

@ Augusta, NJ. Time: 2:44 Attendance: 1,178

In a see-saw battle in Augusta, NJ the Sussex Skyhawks struck first with a pair of runs in the first inning. But it didn't take long for Atlantic City to answer, as they tied the game at 2-2 in the second, then took a 3-2 lead in the third. The Skyhawks, however, were able to rally and take back the lead and would eventually win by a run. Sussex LF Alex Frazier was 1-for-3 with a home run and 2B Chris Brown was a perfect 3-for-3 to lead the way to victory. Skyhawks starting pitcher Mark Michael allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings of work to pick up his first win of the year.

Nashua 6, New Jersey 2

The long ball led the way for Nashua as three different Pride hitters belted a home run in a 6-2 win on the road. Nashua 1B Bryan Duplissie accounted for one of those homers and finished the game 3-for-5 with three RBI. LF Dennis Abreu hit one as well and was also 3-for-5. Pride starting pitcher Hideki Nagasaka allowed two runs on six hits and struck out four in seven innings of work to improve to 5-1 on the season. Jackals RF Luke Allen was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the losing effort.
