Grays starting pitcher Everett Stull came within one out of a complete game against New Jersey. Stull allowed two runs on seven hits in 8.2 innings. Stull pitched with a lead for most of the game as the Grays took an early 1-0 lead after C JB Tucker scored on a dropped fly ball by Jackals CF Zach Smithlin in the bottom of the second inning. The Grays widened their lead to 3-0 after a Tucker RBI single in the third inning. Stull allowed his only two runs on the game in the sixth inning when New Jersey DH Sandy Madera hit a two-run blast to bring the Jackals within one run at 3-2. After 2.2 more scoreless innings for Stull, closer Jerry Dunn came in to get the last out of the game to pick up his seventh save of the season.

North Shore 5, Quebec 0

North Shore starting pitcher Matt Bishop picked up his third win of the season with a near-complete-game performance. Bishop shut out the Capitales over 8.2 innings while allowing six hits and striking out five Quebec batters. But after allowing a triple and walking two batters with one out remaining in the top of the ninth inning, Spirit reliever Donny Langdon replaced Bishop and picked up the last out of the game to earn his second save of the season. Spirit batters gave Bishop a lead to work with immediately with a run in the bottom of the first inning and consistently added to that lead. Spirit 2B Roche went 2-for-4 on the night with a run, a triple and an RBI.

Brockton 7, Worcester 2

After being shut out for five innings by Worcester starting pitcher Reid Willett, the Rox batters came alive and scored seven runs over the final four innings to take a 7-2 win over the Tornadoes. Brockton took its first lead of the game at 2-1 on a two-run double off the bat of RF Tony Gonzalez that scored 3B Fredy De La Cruz and DH Guye Senjem. On the night, Senjem scored twice and tallied three hits in four trips to the plate. Starting Brockton pitcher Rolando Viera improved his record to 3-2 on the season with a 6.2-inning performance in which he allowed one run on seven hits with four walks and five strikeouts. For the Tornadoes, LF Mike MacMillan went 2-for-3 on the night and set a Can-Am League record with three outfield assists.

Atlantic City 12, Sussex 2

The Surf dinked and dunked their way to an impressive 12-2 win over the Skyhawks Friday night. Atlantic City managed 16 hits, 12 of which were singles, on the night. Leading the way for the Surf was DH Chris Crescenzi who went 4-for-5 with one of the team's four doubles, a run and an RBI. Starting pitcher JC Huguet earned his third win of the season to pull above .500 at 3-2 with five innings of work, over which he shut out the Skyhawks on two hits. For Sussex, 1B Jabe Bergeron hit his third home run of the season in the eighth inning to score the team's only two runs.

Nashua 8, New Haven County 4

HR: N-Luis Rodriguez (1); NHC-Junior Zamora (5)

Starting Pride pitcher Akira Okamoto struck out an impressive nine batters against New Haven County to earn his third win of the season. Okamoto pitched seven innings, allowed two runs on five hits and walked two batters to go along with his nine strikeouts. The Pride offense had an impressive night as well, picking up eight runs on 10 hits. Leading the way for Nashua was C Luis Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 on the night with a two-run homer in the top of the fourth inning. With the win the Pride pull within two games of New Jersey at 17-10.
