In front of a sellout crowd of 4,137 at Yale Field, New Haven County plated two unearned runs in the seventh inning to come from behind and beat Sussex. SS Chas Terni, 2B Matt Mercurio and RF Jeremy Pickrel each collected two hits to lead the Cutters offensively. Tom Rispoli pitched 2/3 of an inning to get the win for New Haven County and even up his record at 1-1. Andy Weimer hurled a scoreless ninth allowing a walk and striking out one to pickup his second save of the year. For the Skyhawks in the losing effort, 3B Brian Rios went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI.

Nashua 6, Atlantic City 3

The Nashua Pride would score the go ahead run in the seventh inning and add two more insurance runs in the eighth inning to beat the Atlantic City Surf. Nashua DH Tom Creighton, SS Olmo Rosario and 1B Matt Creighton went a combined 6-for-12 at the plate scoring four runs and driving in one. Pride reliever Steve Palazzolo continues to pitch solid baseball as he picks up the victory pitching 1 1/3 innings allowing only a walk. His record remains perfect at 3-0. Rich Garces notches his seventh save for Nashua, which is still good for tops in the league. CF Lucas Taylor and RF Ryan Walker each had two hits for Atlantic City.

Brockton 8, Quebec 3

Brockton used a healthy offensive outing to cruise past Quebec, thanks in part to LF Jeremy Coronado who was 3-for-3 on the night with a run scored and two RBI. Rox DH Guye Senjem also had a good game at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Brockton starting pitcher Luis Carreras was credited with the win after he tossed five innings allowing three runs and striking out four. Carreras' win improves his record to 5-0, giving him the second-most wins in the league.

North Shore 9, Grays 2

The North Shore Spirit got a great outing form starting pitcher Joey Siak to improve to 10-8 on the season. Siak held the Grays scoreless through seven innings of work in which he scattered five hits, struck out five and walked just one. The win improves Siak's record to 2-1 on the year. The Spirit offense was powered by 3B Mike Torres, who finished the game 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and five RBI.

New Jersey 7, Worcester 6

The Jackals were able to overcome a late rally from the scrappy Tornadoes to pull out a win and remain atop the standings in the Can-Am League. After Worcester posted a four-run seventh to tie the game, the Jackals answered in the bottom half of the inning with a run of their own that proved to be the difference. Jackals 1B Clyde Williams led all hitters at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. CF Dom Ramos and C Patrick Perry each homered for Worcester in the losing effort.
