Grays reliever Froilan Ramirez entered the game in the seventh and pitched three innings, giving up no runs on two hits. Grays SS Gavin Monjaras and CF Tyrone Pendergrass each crossed home plate twice on 2-for-4 nights. Banks allowed one more hit in the seventh to finish the night with seven innings pitched, allowing no runs on a mere two hits with four strikeouts. Jackals C Matt Lauderdale went 2-for-4 on the night with an RBI in the fourth inning. Rusty Tucker had yet another impressive outing, as the Jackals closer picked up his third save of the season with a one-inning no-hit performance in which he struck out two Nashua batters.

North Shore 11, Atlantic City 1

@Atlantic City, NJ. Time: 2:42 Attendance: 2112

W: Chris Farley (2-0) L: Monte Mansfield (1-1) S: NONE

HR: NS-Robert Fischer (1); AS-Ryan Walker (1)

With two on and two out in the first inning, North Shore and Atlantic City were locked in a scoreless tie. But Spirit DH Robert Fischer ended that in a hurry with a three-run homer to give North Shore a lead that they never surrendered. On the night Fischer went 2-for-4 with four runs scored and four RBI. With that kind of run support, it wouldn't take much of an effort from the pitching staff to take the win. But the Spirit got a great effort anyway. Starter Chris Farley pitched six shut-out innings, allowing four hits and striking out seven batters. With the win, Farley brought his season record to 2-0.

W: Joslin Ramirez (2-0) L: Gary Galvez (1-1) S: NONE

Cutters DH Junior Zamora took the game against Brockton in his hands Saturday. Every time Zamora walked to the batters box with his team trailing Saturday, he put them ahead. Zamora went 3-for-4 on the night with two homeruns. For good measure, he added a two-run double in the third inning to bring his RBI count to five and lead his team to its second win of the season. Cutters starting pitcher Joslin Ramirez picked up his second win of the season to keep his record perfect at 2-0, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing four runs on four hits with two strikeouts. For the Rox, 2B Eugene Julien joined Zamora in the homerun club with his first of the season on a 2-for-4 night with three runs scored and two RBI.

Quebec 5, Worcester 4

@Worcester, MA. Time: 3:19 Attendance: 2471

W: Brian Dumesnil (2-0) L: Reid Willett (0-2) S: TJ Stanton (3)

HR: Q-Scotty Martin (2); W-Mike MacMillan (1)

Quebec RF Scotty Martin came to the plate in the ninth with his team tied with Worcester and two outs. Martin broke the tie with one swing of the bat, as he sent the ball over the outfield wall. One inning of Quebec closer TJ Stanton no-hit baseball later, the Capitales had escaped with a hard-fought victory. Quebec got out to an early 2-0 lead, scoring a run in the first and second innings. But Worcester had a lot of fight in them. The game saw two ties and two lead changes, but Quebec did just enough to escape Worcester with a victory. To go along with his game-winning homer, Martin put together an impressive night at the plate. He went 2-for-3 with a two RBI.
