@ Augusta, N.J. Time: 2:30 ATT: 3,162

W: Elliott Shaw (1-1) L: Ryan Lobban (0-2) S: Jerry Dunn (3)

2B Josh Colafemina busted out of his early season slump, going 3-4 and scoring the winning run, as the Grays took the first game of their series against the Skyhawks. After the Grays got on the board early, Sussex answered in the sixth, tying the game at one. The Grays quickly retook the lead, though, scoring the deciding run in the bottom half of the same inning. The Skyhawks' Ryan Lobban twirled a gem, but Elliott Shaw was better, only allowing one run on four hits through six innings. 1B Jabe Bergeron and CF Ron Perodin provided most of the offense for the Skyhawks, collecting five of their six hits, while the Grays' left fielder Chad Gabriel continued his hot start by picking up two more hits, including a double.

The North Shore Spirit scored early and often as their 18-hit barrage powered them past Atlantic City. Each of the Spirit starters reached safely and five had multi-hit games, but SS Jerson Perez, who had five RBI on a 4-6 night, and Darren Blakely, who homered and drove in four, led the way. Atlantic City's third baseman Anthony Granato kept up his hot start, going 3-4 with three RBI and his second homer of the season.

HR: BRK - Guye Senjem (1), Jason Radwan (1), NHC - Chas Terni (1)

CF Joe Hough's big night at the plate and John Kelly's strong pitching performance helped send Brockton past New Haven and into a first place tie. Hough went 3-4 with an RBI and Kelly scattered three hits over six scoreless innings to pick up the win. Right after the Rox scored twice in the seventh on four singles to take the lead, Kyle George worked out of a bases loaded jam with two consecutive strikeouts, preserving the victory. DH Guye Senjem and C Jason Radwan started the Rox offense with homers in the first and second, respectively. Chas Terni also hit his first home run of the season, but it was not enough to beat Brockton.

Worcester 8, Quebec 5

W: John Birtwell (2-1) L: T.J. Stanton (1-1) S: NONE

HR: Queb - Goefrey Tomlinson (1), Nick Trainor (1), Wor - Chris Colabello (4)

1B Chris Colabello blasted a three-run walkoff homer, his league-leading fourth of the season, to put the Tornadoes on top of the Capitales a week after Quebec dropped Worcester with a walkoff of their own. Quebec rallied late, scoring in the top of the ninth to put the pressure on Worcester, but they did not get the chance at an extra frame. Colabello's dinger capped a 3-5, three run performance. Quebec left fielder Mike Galloway continued his success, going two for three and scoring a run. With the loss, the Capitales dropped into a tie for first with Brockton.

@ Little Falls, N.J. Time: 2:40 ATT: 2,151

W: Josh Brey (2-0) L: Tom Thornton (0-1) S: NONE

HR: NJ - Matt Lauderdale (2)

New Jersey got another strong performance from P Josh Brey and more solid hitting from Clay Kuklick as their early offensive fireworks proved to be too much for the Pride. Kuklick went 4-5 with an RBI and Brey only allowed one run over seven innings, moving to 2-0 on the year. The Jackals plated three in the first and three in the third to break the game wide open. Matt Lauderdale hit his second bomb of the year and Jud Thigpen added a 3-3, two RBI performance for the New Jersey.
