DH Mark Hamilton went 3-for-4 with a run scored to help the Pride hold off the Rox. 3B Andy Dillard, SS James Lofton, and C Tommy Rojas each chipped in with two hits for Nashua, who had 13 hits in the game. Nashua starting pitcher Jarrad Lavergne picked up his first win as a Pride going 5 1/3 innings allowing an earned run on six hits with six strikeouts. For Brockton, LF Shawn Williams led the way with a 2-for-4 outing with two runs scored.

New Haven County 8, Sussex 4

HR: SX-Robert LeNoir (3), Rich Daly (4); NHC-Horace Lawrence 2 (4)

Fours across the board for New Haven County LF Horace Lawrence as he went 4-for-4 with four runs scored and four RBI to lead the Cutters to a sweep of the Skyhawks and their fifth straight victory. Lawrence hit two home runs on the afternoon and was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. New Haven County starting pitcher Courtney Hall notched his first win of the season going seven strong innings giving up two runs, both earned, on five hits with nine strikeouts. The Cutters are now only two games behind Quebec for first place.

North Shore 5, Quebec 0

HR: NS-Jeff Brooks (7), Alex Trezza (11)

North Shore starting pitcher was truly magnificent today as he threw a complete game three hitter in the shutout of the Capitales. Morse struck out 10 Quebec batters and had a perfect game through 7 2/3 innings before Quebec C Olivier Lepine's single. The win by Morse was his eighth of the season, which leads the league. To aid Morse today, 1B Jeff Brooks had a 3-for-4 performance at the plate along with his seventh home run of the season. C Alex Trezza hit his league leading 11th home run of the year as well for the Spirit.

New Jersey 6, Worcester 3

@ Worcester, MA. Time: 2:56 Attendance: 2,872

HR: NJ-Wilton Veras (3)

New Jersey starting pitcher Joel Bennett went seven strong innings allowing three runs, all earned, on seven hits and 10 strikeouts to lead the Jackals to a much needed victory over the Tornadoes. New Jersey was led offensively by RF Alex Fernandez who had a 3-for-4 outing with a run scored and 3B Wilton Veras who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, include hitting his third home run of the season. For the Tornadoes they were led this afternoon by 1B Chris Colabello and CF Lucas Taylor who each had 2-for-4 outings. Worcester is now at .500 for the second half.
