North Shore starting pitcher Chris Farley pitched a solid game to outlast the Capitales allowing one earned run on six hits through seven innings to improve to 6-3 on the year. The win for North Shore was its eighth of the second half and places them in a tie with Quebec for first place in the Can-Am League. North Shore got big nights from RF Andrew Wishy who was 1-for-4 with a home run, his fourth of the season, and DH Alex Trezza who was 1-for-2 with a home run as well, his tenth. 3B Vic Davilla also had a good night, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two runs batted in.

Brockton 11, Nashua 7

Brockton got the best offensive night they've had all season as they pounded out a season-high 24 hits en route to an 11-7 win against Nashua on the road. Rox RF Guye Senjem had the best night of any Brockton hitter, going 4-for-4 with a home run, his eighth of the season. LF Joe Hough also had a four-hit night, going 4-for-6 in the leadoff spot, and he scored two runs as well. 1B Jason Radwan and C Mike Torres each had three hits and, in total, eight Brockton hitters had multi-hit games.

Worcester 3, New Jersey 2 (11 innings)

Worcester used a solid pitching performance from its starter and both relievers to notch the team's fifth win of the second half. Right-hander Junior Guerrero started the game for the Tornadoes and, after allowing two runs, both earned, on nine hits through seven innings, he left the game trailing 2-1. Worcester answered with a run in the eighth to tie the game at two apiece and left-hander Dallas Mahan came on to hold New Jersey scoreless for two innings until the Tornadoes were able to push the winning run across in the bottom of the 11th inning.

New Haven County 8, Sussex 5

New Haven County starting pitcher Tim Keinath picked up his fifth win of the season by scattering 10 hits over 6 1/3 innings of work and allowing three runs, two earned. The Cutters helped him out on offense, belting out 11 hits of their own en route to an eight-run night. LF Horace Lawrence was 2-for-4 on the night with a run scored and SS Jose Delgado was 1-for-5 with a run scored and two runs batted in. For Sussex, LF Scott Grimes had a big night, going 4-for-4 and scoring three runs while teammate Robert LeNoir was 3-for-5 with a run and two RBIs.
