QUEBEC 11, BROCKTON 1 @ Brockton, Mass. Time: 3:04 ATT: 2,404 W: Julien Tucker (6-4) L: Grant Dorn (4-2) S: None HR: QUE - Eddie Lantigua 2 (23,24) Quebec snapped their three-game losing streak in style, unleashing a 20-hit attack and blasting Brockton 11-1. Five different Capitales had three or more hits, including C Olivier Lepine, who went 4-for-5, and 3B Eddie Lantigua, who hit his league-leading 23rd and 24th home runs of the season. Quebec got on board early with a seven-run second that included a two-run jack from Lantigua and a two-run double from CF Goefrey Tomlinson. They then rode a decent pitching performance from Julien Tucker the rest of the way, as Tucker pitched six innings and gave up one run on seven hits, while the Capitales added single runs in the third, fifth, seventh and ninth innings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEW JERSEY 4, ELMIRA 1 @ Little Falls, N.J. Time: 2:32 ATT: 2,093 W: Josh Brey (7-6) L: Brian Ford (1-3) S: Isaac Pavlik (3) HR: None Four New Jersey pitchers combined to allow just three hits, giving the Jackals an important 4-1 victory over Elmira. Josh Brey got his seventh victory of the season, giving up one unearned run on two hits in six innings of work, while Fabricio Benitez, Horace Lawrence and Isaac Pavlik pitched one inning each, allowing just one hit. DH Mike Rucci went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI for New Jersey, while 2B Ricardo Cordova was 2-for-4 with a double. 3B Amuary Marti had two of the Pioneers' three hits.
