A sensational pitching performance by Nashua starter Akira Okamoto leads the Pride past the New Haven County Cutters. Okamoto went the distance allowing only five hits and one hit baseman while striking out six Cutter batters. He improves his record to 5-2 on the season. The Pride offense was led by the 1-2-3 batters of RF John Ramistella, SS Olmo Rosario and DH Luis Rodriguez as they went a combined 8-for-14 with two runs scored and three runs driven in. Jermy Acey also chipped in with his fourth homer of the season, a solo shot in the fifth inning.

North Shore 3, Atlantic City 2

Surf 2B Josh Renick's error in the bottom of the ninth inning allowed pinch runner Gilbert Gil to score from second base and give the Spirit the victory over Atlantic City. LF Mike Torres went 2-for-4 for North Shore with a run scored while 1B Josue Lopez had a 1-for-3 day with two RBI. Jamie Baker hurled a shutout ninth inning and won the game in relief for the Spirit. Baker evened his record up at 1-1 on the season. For the Surf in the losing effort, LF Ed Montague and 1B Joe Burke each collected two hits in four plate appearances.

Worcester 8, Brockton 2

The Worcester Tornadoes blew open a tight ball game with five runs in the eighth inning and beat the Brockton Rox by six runs. Tornadoes DH Patrick Perry and C Mike DeCarlo went a combined 6-for-8 at the dish with three runs scored and two runs driven in. Perry also belted his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the eighth inning. Worcester reliever Chris Shank pitched a scoreless sixth inning, allowing only a hit and a walk to notch the win and improved his record to 2-0. Brockton 1B Francisco Lebron went 2-for-4 with a home run, his 10th on the year.
