Sussex County 7, New Jersey 3 - Box Score
Sussex County jumped out to a 4-1 lead after two innings of play and went on to defeat New Jersey by the score of 7-3.
The Miners pounded out 11 hits in the contest and was led tonight by the 1-2-3 hitters of RF Noah Cummings, SS Jarred Mederos and 2B Trey Hair. The trio went a combined 7-for-13 at the plate with a home run (Cummings), five runs scored and three RBIs. Designated hitter Andy Paz also aided the Sussex County offense by driving in a pair of runs in a 1-for-3 night. The Miners scored all seven of their runs in four of the first five innings of the game.
Sussex County pitcher Andrew Gist allowed an earned run over 3 2/3 innings of relief to notch the victory. The southpaw gave up five hits and a walk to go along with two strikeouts. Gist is now 3-0 on the season.
For New Jersey in defeat, 2B Andrew Dundon went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Rockland 7, Quebec 4 - Box Score
Rockland scored five runs over the sixth and seventh innings to rally from a 3-2 deficit and beat Quebec by a final of 7-4.
The Boulders collected 10 hits as a team and received solid production from the 4-5-6 hitters of LF Grant Heyman, C Adam Ehrlich and 3B John Brontsema. The trio had a combined seven hits in 10 at-bats along with four runs scored and four RBIs. In addition to that, Rockland leadoff hitter Ezequiel Carrera plated two runs in a 1-for-3 night and 2B Ryne Birk had a double and two RBIs.
Boulders reliever James Mulry tossed a scoreless inning and earned his third win of the year. Mulry allowed a hit and a walk with one strikeout in the four batters that he faced.
Second baseman Melvin Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in the loss for the Capitales.
Trois-Rivieres 7, Ottawa 4 - Box Score
Trois-Rivieres scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning to break a 3-3 tie and went on to beat Ottawa by a 7-4 final.
The Aigles pounded out 12 hits in the contest with five players having multi-hit games. Trois-Rivieres CF Parker Sniatynski went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI while 3B Taylor Brennan added a home run and two RBIs in a 2-for-5 night. Catcher Joe Deluca and DH Thomas Roulis also chipped in a combined four hits and three RBIs for the Aigles.
Trois-Rivieres starting pitcher Kevin McNorton tossed six innings and picked-up his first victory of the year. McNorton allowed four runs, three earned, on eight hits and struck out a batter. Aigles reliever Garrett Mundell threw a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout and collected the save.
For Ottawa, DH Leonardo Reginatto had a 3-for-4 game with a run scored and an RBI.
