Quebec 3, New York 1

Quebec RF Sebastien Boucher's two-run home run sealed a 3-1 victory for the Capitales against the New York Federals. Quebec struck first when CF Goefrey Tomlinson singled in C Patrick D'Aoust in the bottom of the fourth. The Capitales added two insurance runs in the bottom of the seventh on Boucher's two-run blast, his fifth homer of the season. Quebec starting pitcher Ryan DiPietro earned the win and pitched eight scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and fanning five batters. TJ Stanton allowed a run in the ninth but earned the save for Quebec. For New York, RF Tom Maloney went 1-for-4 with an RBI in the loss.

New Jersey 9, Newark 4

The New Jersey Jackals' productive first and fifth inning fueled them to a 9-4 win over the Newark Bears. The visiting Jackals struck for three runs in the first inning. New Jersey 2B D'Angelo Jimenez hit an RBI double and 3B Nick Giarraputo hit a two-RBI single later in the inning. Giarraputo collected four RBIs in the game, adding an RBI single in the third inning and an RBI triple in the Jackals' four-run fifth inning. Also for New Jersey, 1B Kris Sanchez went 3-for-5 with two RBIs, two runs scored, a double and a triple. Jackals starter Jon Kibler worked six innings to earn the win. Kibler allowed two earned runs on five hits and struck out five hitters. Bears C Billy Alvino had two RBIs in the Newark loss.

Rockland 6, Brockton 5

The Rockland Boulders came from behind twice to edge the Brockton Rox 6-5. Boulders DH Ryde Rodriguez led Rockland with five RBIs in the game. The Rox took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second through 2B Mike Torres' RBI double and DH Melvin Falu's RBI sacrifice fly. The Boulders used a three-run bottom of the seventh to claim the lead. In the inning, Rodriguez hit a two-RBI double and 2B Ray Stokes hit an RBI single. Brockton recorded a three-run inning of their own in the top of the eighth to reclaim a 5-3 lead, but Rodriguez again came through for Rockland. Rodriguez belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to give Rockland a 6-5 lead. Boulders reliever Adrian Martin shut down the Rox in the top of the ninth to earn the win, tossing two scoreless innings in all.

Pittsfield 10, Worcester 5

After allowing Worcester to come within a run of tying the game, the Pittsfield Colonials plated five runs in the bottom of the eighth to put the game to bed and take a 10-5 win. Colonials 1B Angel Molina led Pittsfield with three RBIs in the game. Molina went 2-for-5 at the plate with a double. Also for Pittsfield, C Chris Torres went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and CF Jerod Edmondson went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs scored, a double and an RBI. Pittsfield amassed a 5-2 lead through four innings played, but Worcester plated a run in the seventh and eighth frame to cut the lead to just a run. The Colonials responded with a five-run bottom of the eighth. Colonials starting pitcher Chad Paronto earned the win, allowing two earned runs on eight hits in seven innings pitched. For Worcester, 3B Mark Minicozzi had two RBIs in the loss.
