Worcester 9, New York 4
Worcester 3B Chris Colabello batted in four runs and had three extra-base hits to help lead the Tornadoes to a 9-4 victory against the New York Federals. Colabello went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and a solo home run. Tornadoes CF Cameron Monger had a single, two RBIs and a run scored, and LF Alex A. Nunez went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Worcester starter Ryan Lobban allowed three earned runs on seven hits in five innings pitched to earn the win. Lobban fanned three hitters and walked one in the game. For the Federals, 3B Mike Castellano doubled and had two RBIs and a run scored in the loss.
Brockton 9, Rockland 2
The Brockton Rox plated three runs in the bottom of the first and tallied five more in the third frame as they routed the Rockland Boulders 9-2. Rox starting pitcher Julian Sampson tossed seven strong innings to earn the win. Sampson allowed just one run on two hits and struck out two hitters. Brockton CF Chris Valencia went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and two RBIs, and LF Dan Barbero had a home run and two RBIs in the game. First baseman Trey Hernandez went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored for Brockton, and 2B Tucker Nathans had a double and two runs batted in. Boulders LF Norm Hutchins hit a solo home run in the loss.
