Brockton 1B Jason Colson was a one-man wrecking crew in this one. He was 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs to lead the Rox to a 5-1 win at home. Brockton starting pitcher John Kelly had a great outing. He allowed one run on two hits and struck out eight in eight innings to improve to 3-3 on the season. Rox C Josh Vander Hey also had a good game at the plate. He was 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.

Ottawa 4, Quebec 2 (10 innings)

The Ottawa Rapidz plated two runs in the top half of the 10th inning to break a 2-2 tie and escape with a win on the road. Rapidz reliever Argimiro Guanchez earned his first win of the year. He did not allow a run or hit in 2 2/3 innings of work. Ottawa reliever Cardoza Tucker earned his first save of the season after closing out the 10th frame. Rapidz 1B Jake Daubert led the way offensively. He was 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Quebec 3B Pat Deschenes drove in both Capitales runs with a two-run home run. He finished 1-for-5 in the losing effort.

The Sussex Skyhawks got an effective outing from starting pitcher Craig Snipp. He allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out four in 6 1/3 innings to run his record to 4-2 on the season. Sussex C Yohanny Valera led the way at the plate. He was 2-for-4 with three RBI. RF Jorge Moreno also had a nice game. He was 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Skyhawks reliever Matt Petrusek allowed one run on two hits in 1 2/3 innings to record his ninth save of the season. Nashua 1B Bryan Duplissie led the Pride offensively in the losing effort. He was 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs.
