The Atlantic City Surf continued their torrid play as the Surf shutout the New Jersey Jackals and rolled to their sixth straight victory. Surf starting pitcher Adam Cox was sensational on the mound as he went eight solid innings allowing only four hits and two walks while striking out eight New Jersey batters. He is now 6-2 on the season. Atlantic City SS Anthony Granato and CF Lucas Taylor each had two-hit days at the dish with Granato blasting his second homer of the season. LF Andrew Larsen went 2-for-3 for the Jackals in the losing cause.

Nashua rolled out to a 6-1 lead after three innings and would cruise from there to an easy win over the Sussex Skyhawks. LF Dennis Abreu was the star for the Pride offensively as he went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBI. Abreu also hammered his seventh home run of the year, a grand slam in the eighth inning. Nashua starter Hideki Nagasaka improved his mark to 6-2 on the season with a six inning performance allowing one earned run on one hit with eight strikeouts. Sussex 3B Jay Yaconetti had a perfect day going 3-for-3 and driving in all three of their runs.

The Brockton Rox earned their first win of the second half behind a strong performance from their pitching staff, which limited the Worcester Tornadoes to just one run on nine hits at home. Brockton starting pitcher Wayne Lundgren allowed just six hits while striking out six and walking none in six scoreless innings of work to run his record to 3-3 on the year. Rox C Lee RubIn Lee led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and a RBI.
