ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Tony Cameranesi has been recalled by the Toronto Marlies, Orlando's American Hockey League affiliate.
Cameranesi, 23, has posted 20 points (13g-7a) and 14 penalty minutes in 32 games with Orlando in his first full season of professional hockey. His 13 goals are tied for the league lead among first-year players.
The native of Plymouth, Minn. returns to the AHL after scoring two goals in six games for the Marlies last season.
The Orlando Solar Bears play their first game of 2017 on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. against the Manchester Monarchs.
