Calgary Roughnecks Sign Spencer Martin

CALGARY, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks announced today the signing of forward Spencer Martin to a one-year deal. Terms of the deals were not disclosed and are subject to league approval.

Martin, a native of Coquitlam, BC, spent the 2009 season with the Edmonton Rush but didn't see any game time. The left-handed offensive player spent time in 2008 with the former Portland Lumberjax, recording 34 points, including five goals and 29 assists in 12 games. In that time, Martin notched three power play goals and four helpers on the man-advantage.

Martin has also seen time with the Minnesota Swarm.

The Calgary Roughnecks kick-off the 2010 season on Sunday, January 10th at the Pengrowth Saddledome against the Minnesota Swarm.
