
Calgary Roughnecks sign forward Scott Anderson

Calgary, AB - Calgary Roughnecks general manager Kurt Silcott announced today the team has signed forward Scott Anderson to a one-year deal. Terms and conditions of the deal were not disclosed.
Anderson, 35, played in 2 regular season games tallying 3 points (3 goals) for the Ladner Pioneers of the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association.
Just off a 3rd place finish in the 2006 Presidents Cup with the Ladner Pioneers, the 6'2" 230 lbs. Prince George, BC native played in 5 round robin games scoring 13 points (10 goals, 3 assists) which was good for second on the teams scoring list. The tournament took place in New Westminster, BC from August 21 - 27th.
"Scott is a bit like Sid Finch, the only difference is that Scott is very real. He's been dominating out in Prince George for a number of years now. I've heard stories about his prowess for years," said Roughnecks general manager Kurt Silcott. "When I got here last year I asked Jeff Moleski about him and he gave me a glowing report. This summer when he joined the Ladner team I was excited because I knew that he'd be playing with of one of our captains, Kyle Goundrey, and I could get a true assessment of his capabilities. The bottom line is that he can play, we're very happy to have him."
