Calgary Roughnecks Defeat Panther City LC in Final Game of Regular Season

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks defeated the Panther City Lacrosse Club 11-9 on Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome, in their final game of the regular season.

Tyler Pace kicked things off for Calgary netting his first of the night 29 seconds into the game. Panther City answered with two, before Josh Currier tied things up to end the first quarter. Panther City were strong in the second frame, netting five goals with Calgary tallying one from Tanner Cook leaving the Riggers down by four at the half.

The Roughnecks dominated the second half of the game. Panther City were kept scoreless in the third with Jesse King scoring a short-handed goal and a power play goal for the home side, while Logan Schuss netted his first as a Roughneck. Haiden Dickson opened the scoring the final frame to tie things at 7-7, with Schuss scoring moments later to give the Roughnecks the lead. Panther City answered with two before the home side added a final three goals for the win, from Tyler Pace (2) and Tanner Cook.

Tonight's game ends the 2023-24 season for the Roughnecks, who finished 8-10.
