Cal Express Defeat the Sidekicks

Turlock Cal Express News Release
TURLOCK,CA - The Turlock Cal Express fought hard in the last quarter after trailing most of the game to the Dallas Sidekicks. Efforts by Anival Echeverria and Mat Germain in the 4th helped Turlock get a 6-4 victory.
The first half of tonight's match was dominated by Dallas after they found their first goal on a counter attack. Freddy Moojan found himself one on one against Turlock Goalkeeper, Edgar Martinez, faked to the right, brought it back to his left foot and shot it in.
A few moments later, Victor Almendariz ÃÂ pressured high and caught Martinez out of his box. Almendariz challenged Martinez who couldn't clear fast enough and scored the second goal for the Sidekicks ending the first with a 2-0 lead.
Turlock, who had a very slow start tonight, was able to cut the deficit in half with a goal by Adrian "Kiko" Gutierrez.
Twenty-seven seconds into the third, the Sidekicks increased their lead to 3-1 but Luis Brambila answered back with one of his own.
The Cal Express showed up in the final 15 minutes with 2 unanswered goals. Adrian 'Kiko" Gutierrez had his second of the night while Selvin Bonilla scored his first of the season.
Bonilla's goal gave Turlock their first lead of the night and pushed Dallas into swapping their goalkeeper for a 6th attacker.
The Cal Express capitalized in the last quarter with two more goals that finalized the score in favor of Turlock.
Turlock will still play at home next week as they host the Ontario Fury once again at Turlock Indoor.
