Buffalo Bandits News Release
Buffalo, N.Y. (February 17, 2004) ---Buffalo Bandits General Manager Kurt Silcott announced today that after an MRI scan it has been determined that Aime Caines tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and lateral collateral ligament (LCL) in his knee during the Bandits' 13-9 victory in Toronto on Friday, February 13 and will miss the remainder of 2004 season. Caines has scored 3 goals and 4 assists, while posting 9 penalty minutes in seven games this season.
Starting goaltender Steve Dietrich is expected to miss 2-3 weeks due to a pulled groin muscle that he suffered in the third quarter of Friday's game against Toronto. Dietrich was selected as a reserve for the NLL All-Star Game on February 22, but will miss the game due to the injury. Philadelphia's Dallas Eliuk will replace Dietrich as the Eastern Division's backup goaltender.
The Bandits' next home game is on Friday, March 5, at 7:30 PM vs. the Toronto Rock. Ticket packages are available by calling the Buffalo Bandits Ticket Office at 1-888-467-2273, or fans can purchase packages at the HSBC Arena Box Office or any Tickets.com locations.
