Orlando City SC News Release
24 - Dwyer goals
Dom Dwyer scored for the second consecutive game on Saturday, giving him 24 goals in MLS for Orlando City. This ties Dwyer with former club captain Kaká for second place in Orlando City history, behind only Cyle Larin. Dwyer's 81 goals place him 19th in MLS history and fourth among active players, behind only Chris Wondolowski, Kei Kamara, and Bradley Wright-Phillips. Interestingly, Dwyer's last five goals have all been headers.
99 - Rowe saves
Brian Rowe is one save away from reaching 100 for the season, which would make him the second goalkeeper in Orlando City history to reach the century mark in saves, after Joe Bendik. Rowe has enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career in 2019, saving 69.7% of the shots that have come his way and recording seven clean sheets. Rowe notched a career-high 113 saves and nine shutouts with the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2016.
74 - Cincinnati concessions
It has not been an easy first season in MLS for FC Cincinnati, who clinched the 2019 Wooden Spoon when Vancouver drew Columbus last weekend. Cincinnati have allowed 74 goals this season, which ties them with last year's Orlando City squad for the most conceded in a single season in league history. This means that the Lions can take themselves out of the record books by scoring a goal on Sunday. Cincinnati are also on track to set the league record for worst goal differential, as their -44 mark sits well below the current record of -37, held jointly by the 2013 editions of Chivas USA and DC United.
2x2 - Double-doubles
The first meeting between Orlando and Cincinnati ended in lopsided fashion, as the Lions steamrolled the MLS newcomers 5-1 at Exploria Stadium on May 19. The game marked the first time in club history that two Lions recorded braces in the same match, as both Nani and Tesho Akindele scored twice in the blowout. The five goals are the most scored in a match by Orlando City this season.
