EL PASO, Texas – Continuing to tweak their roster, the Buzzards made two roster moves Thursday. The Buzzards signed right winger Markus Forsberg off waivers and released defenseman Kenny Moore.

Forsberg, no relation to Colorado Avalanche forward Peter Forsberg, played for the San Angelo Saints earlier this season. In three games with the Saints, Forsberg recorded no goals or assists. Forsberg is a 5'11, 185 lb. forward from Sweden.

Moore, in three games this season, notched no goals or assists, but collected two penalty minutes for the Buzzards. The Buzzards signed Moore on Nov. 30. The Quebec City, Quebec native last played in the 1998-99 season with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Buzzards play at 6 p.m. Friday, in Odessa, against the Jackalopes. On Saturday, the Central Hockey League's first place Austin Ice Bats visit the El Paso County Coliseum at 7 p.m. to battle the Buzzards in the marquee match-up of the night.
