Butler's 9th Inning Home Run Gives Sox 3-2 Win

Brent Butler's solo home run in the bottom of the 9th gave the Sky Sox a 3-2 victory to snap their 6-game losing streak. Sox starter Cory Vance (8-8) pitched 7 solid innings allowing 2 runs, 1 earned, on 9 hits, striking out 4 and walking 1. Armando Romero also pitched in on the offense side going 2-4, hitting his 4th home run of the season. The Sox and Sounds will meet again Saturday night with the Sox sending Scott Elarton (1-6, 5.62) to the bump against the Sounds Matt Bruback (6-8, 3.96).
