Burnham and Castillo Earn West Division All-Star Nods
November 6, 2019 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club today announced that receiver Bryan Burnham and kicker Sergio Castillio have earned West Division All-Star selections.
Burnham adds to his growing list of 2019 accolades after earning the club's nomination as Most Outstanding Player last week. The six-year vet enjoyed a career-best 100 receptions for 1,492 yards and 11 touchdowns on the year. One of just three CFL receivers to hit the 100-catch plateau, it was Bryan's first time reaching the century mark while his receiving yards were second to only Hamilton's Brandon Banks.
Castillo too enjoyed career numbers making 41 of his 45 field goal attempts in 2019 and setting the bar as the only CFL kicker with a success rate above 90 per cent. The first-year Lion was remarkably consistent throughout the year, but especially so in the second half of the season missing just two field goal attempts dating back to early September.
BC Lions season tickets for 2020 are available now. New and renewed season ticket holders are eligible to win a trip for two to the 2019 Grey Cup in Calgary (new or renewed by November 8) as well as a trip for two to the Queen Charlotte Lodge to fish with Travis Lulay (new or renewed by December 13).
