Burnevik and Musser Named to All-USHL Third Team

May 8, 2024 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Madison Capitols News Release

The USHL announced their All-USHL Teams this afternoon, and Madison has two representatives on the teams. The Capitols would like to congratulate Austin Burnevik and Carsen Musser on being selected to the All-USHL Third Team.

Burnevik earns the honor of All-USHL Third Team after his record breaking season. In 61 games this season, the St. Cloud State commit was able to score 40 goals and register 71 points, which both are Tier I Franchise bests for the team. Burnevik finished the season seventh in the league in points and second in goals. Hailing from Ham Lake, Minnesota, Burnevik becomes the first Capitols forward in franchise Tier I history to be named to an All-USHL team.

Musser joins his teammate of three years, first with Madison, on the All-USHL Third Team. Playing in 32 games, the Arizona Coyotes draft pick and Colorado College commit registered a 17-11-2-2 record with a 2.74 goals against average and a .905 save percentage. Musser finished the season with the fourth best goals against average and second best save percentage among qualified goaltenders. The goaltender out of Sherburn, Minnesota, become the first Capitols netminder to make an All-USHL team since Christian Stoever in the 2019-20 team. Stoever was also a member of the Third Team.

Although the season may be done, we still encourage you to stay connected with the Madison Capitols on social media and the team's official website for the latest updates, news, and behind-the-scenes content.
